Admirals Facing Elimination After Back-To-Back Losses

The Amherstburg Admirals will be facing elimination in Game 6 of their first-round series against the Wheatley Sharks.

The Sharks evened the series at 2-2 with a 6-4 win on Tuesday night in Amherstburg and then followed that up with a 6-3 victory at home on Wednesday to take their first lead in the series.

In Game 5 on Wednesday night in Wheatley, two goals from Stefan Jacobs and Braydin Metcalfe coming 29 seconds apart, gave the Sharks their first two-goal leas of the game, after Admirals forward Jayden Seguin had tied things up on the first shift of the second period. Wheatley would add two more before the middle frame ended to more or less put the game away after 40 minutes of play.

The Sharks win on home ice was the first home win for either team in the series. The Admirals will now need to return the favour and get their first on home ice, in what will be a do-or-sie situation on Saturday night in Amherstburg.
