Admirals Score Signature Victory In Win Over Lakeshore

On Friday night in Lakeshore, the Amherstburg Admirals did something they had not done in six years. First period goals by Drew Booker and Jadyn Brown stood up to be enough in a 2-1 victory over the Canadiens, the first time since December 2, 2018 that they have done so.

Goaltender Russell Vaughan earned the game’s First Star for his 39-save performance that prevented the high-powered Canadiens from tying the score through the final 43 minutes of the game. The rookie netminder stopped chance after chance, including in the final moments as the Canadiens pressed for the equalizer.

Veteran forward Jadyn Brown notched his first goal of the season in what was his 125th career game as an Admiral. Fellow assistant captain Allan Djordjevic played in his 100th game and picked up an assist on Brown’s tally.
