The Amherstburg Admirals playoff journey begins this Saturday when the team travels to Mooretown to take on the Flags in Game 1 of their Stobbs Quarterfinal series.
Despite losing five of the six regular-season games between the two teams, the Admirals will draw confidence from the fact that three of those defeats came in overtime, including two multi-goal comebacks by the Flags to force the extra period. Further confidence will come from recent familiarity, as it was just a week ago when the Admirals turned in a strong performance to earn a massive point in Mooretown that helped them secure fifth-place in the division.
A season ago, the fifth-seeded Admirals knocked off the fourth-seeded Wheatley Sharks in a thrilling seven-game series – a script they will hope to follow once again in the 4. vs. 5. series with the Flags.
