Admirals Sign First Two Players For 2025-26

The Amherstburg Admirals have begun to shape their roster for the 2025-26 season, as the team announced the signing of Brody Gillis and the re-signing of Drew Booker.

Gillis, 21, joins the Admirals after finishing a GOJHL career that culminated with winning the Sutherland Cup with the Chatham Maroons this past season. The Windsor native was an assistant captain on the Maroons championship team, posting career high numbers of 18 goals, 40 assists, and 58 points in 50 regular-season games. He then produced eight more goals and 19 points during the Maroons run to the title.

An Amherstburg native, Booker, returns for his second season with the Admirals. The 21-year-old was the recipient of the team’s MVP Award for the 2024-25 season, for his part in helping lead the team to its first Stobbs semifinal appearance since 2020.

The two forwards will be two of the team’s overage players and will be key leaders in all aspects. They were formerly teammates with the LaSalle Vipers for two seasons from 2021-2023 and will now look to help the Admirals build upon the successes of last year.
