The Amherstburg Admirals will begin the 2025 Schmalz Cup Playoffs against the Wheatley Sharks in the Stobbs division quarterfinals.
Neck and neck in the standings all season, the two teams finished the regular-season tied with 43 points, but the Sharks gained the home-ice advantage by virtue of having one more win.
Adding to the closeness between the two clubs, the season-series was split at three wins a piece with the Admirals winning the last game on January 4 on a buzzer-beating goal by Jayden Seguin.
Game 1 in the best-of-seven series will be this Wednesday evening in Wheatley, with Game 2 shifting to Amherstburg on Saturday night.
