The Amherstburg Admirals will be facing elimination when they host Game 4 against the Blenheim Blades on Tuesday night.
The Blades won Game 2 and 3 over the weekend by identical 6-2 scores, although both games were much closer than the scores indicates. In Game 3 on Sunday night in Blenheim, Mitch Demelo scored twice in his return to the lineup to pull the Admirals within a goal in the second period, but the Blades would eventually pull away. The Admirals posted 40 shots in each of the two games, but could only muster four goals total against Blenheim’s netminding duo of Owen Lemieux and Jake Vancoille.
The Admirals now face a do-or-die situation in Game 4, which is set for Tuesday night in Amherstburg. Game-time is set for 7:30 PM. Admirals fans are encouraged to come out to the Libro Centre and make some noise as the team tries to stave off elimination.
