Two Regular-Season Game Left As Admirals Battle For Positioning

With two regular-season games remaining, the Amherstburg Admirals will not know their first round playoff opponent until the final buzzer sounds on Game #41 on Sunday evening.

As they prepare to hit the road today to Mooretown to take on the Flags, the only certainty for the Admirals is knowing that they can still finish as high as fifth and as low as seventh.

Victories over Mooretown tonight and Walpole Island tomorrow would assure the Admirals finish no worse than sixth and potentially fifth, depending on the outcome between Saturday’s game between Blenheim and Wheatley. If Wheatley were to lose and Amherstburg went on to win both games, the Admirals will secure fifth-place. Splitting the two games would result in Wheatley getting fifth, and the Admirals and Dresden Kings would come down to tie-breakers for sixth-place.

The first two tie-break methods, head-to-head and wins, would also be tied between Amherstburg and Dresden, leaving it up to goal-differential.

Losing both games would result in the Admirals finishing in seventh-place.
