For the second straight season the Amherstburg Admirals will have an alumni behind the bench.
The team announced that Jake Archer has joined head coach Zack Gervais’ bench staff for the 2025-26 season. Lat year, former Admiral AJ Ryan was a part of the Admirals coaching staff who won the Coaching Staff of the Year Award for the Stobbs division. He decided to move on to other endeavors, which opened the door for a new assistant coach.
Archer, 23, was the Admirals MVP Award winner for the 2023-24 season where he led the team in both goals and points. The Windsor native then turned to coaching, spending the most recent season as an assistant coach in the Windsor Jr. Spitfires AAA program.
Known as a player for his goal-scoring ability, Archer will help coach the team’s forwards and will also key on the power-play.
