The Amherstburg Admirals have announced the signing of Amherstburg native Drew Booker.
Booker joins the Admirals after playing the past three seasons with the LaSalle Vipers of the GOJHL, including the 2022-23 season when he was an alternate captain.
“Adding a player like Drew is a huge boost to our team in all aspects,” General Manager Andrew Sykes said. “His ability and experience immediately impacts our forward group, and his character and team-first attitude will make him a natural leader of our team.”
The 20-year-old Booker eclipsed double-digits in goals in two of his three seasons with the Vipers, totalling 29 goals and 69 points in 137 regular-season games.
Booker will be in the lineup when the team plays their season-opening game on Friday night against the Lakeshore Canadiens. They will then host the Dresden Kings the following night in the team’s home-opener, with game-time at the Libro Centre set for 7:30 PM.
